Frequently asked questions
For your first appointment, please bring the following:
Alberta Health Card (or another provincial health card if you live outside Alberta)
Photo ID (such as a driver’s license, Identification Card, Passport)
Health Insurance Card (for any extended health coverage you may have)
While not required, it’s a good idea to check with your insurance provider before your first visit so you know exactly what your plan covers. Our clinic offers direct billing to most major insurance companies, making payment simple and stress-free.
The number of visits depends on several factors, such as your age, the severity of your condition/past injury, and lifestyle influences like stress, work environment, and daily habits.
Many patients notice improvement within a few days to a few weeks, but achieving long-term, optimal results—such as restoring normal movement and function—can take several weeks to several months, depending on the individual.
Your practitioner will always make recommendations based on your unique needs, but how far you’d like to follow that plan is completely up to you.
Insurance note: Most extended health insurance plans cover a set number of visits for chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture each year. Our clinic offers direct billing to most major providers and can help you understand your coverage.
Comfort is key! We recommend wearing non-restrictive, comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
Chiropractic & Physiotherapy: Athletic wear, yoga pants, leggings, or shorts are ideal so your practitioner can assess your movement and provide treatment without restriction.
Massage Therapy: You’ll be asked to undress to your comfort level and will always be properly draped with sheets or blankets during treatment.
Acupuncture: Loose clothing makes it easier to access areas like arms, legs, or your back. If needed, gowns or draping will be provided.
No matter which service you’re coming in for, your privacy and comfort are always respected.
No, you do not need a referral from your doctor to see a chiropractor, physiotherapist, massage therapist, or acupuncturist. You can book an appointment directly with us.
Note: Some insurance plans may require a doctor’s referral in order to process or reimburse certain treatments. If you’re unsure, it’s a good idea to check your plan details or contact your insurance provider before your first visit.
Our team is happy to help guide you through the process and provide any paperwork your insurance may need.
